Our commitment
Since it was first founded, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana has been firmly committed to sustainable development, which forms part of the strategic focus that guides the way it manages its business.
Here we have adopted a Corporate Citizenship and Responsibility model as outlined below:
Criteria for Deciding Upon Corporate Involvement
-
Internal Management Guidelines
Specific corporate relations practices with the involvement of employees, consultants, suppliers and customers.
-
Direct Corporate Involvement
Taking part in community development projects: Institutional contributions and Voluntary work.
-
Leading public Dynamics
Taking part in drawing up public policy and forming public opinion and influencing country-wide dynamics.
Sustainability: Economic, Social and Environmental
We understand social responsibility as being a guiding principle for everything we do as good corporate citizens working to build up sustainability.
The first line of action has to do with the addition of management guidelines that result in good business practices towards the development of the day to day business. This is to verify that the relationships we develop with our various interest groups, the management criteria and applied decisions will allow it to build an environment where business benefits are for everyone.
The second line of action is developed through participation in social projects that help improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations. Here lies a fundamental part of the work of the Suramericana Foundation, through which institutional and corporate volunteering contributions are channeled.
The third component of our model for Responsibility and Corporate Citizenship has to do with participation in public dynamics, to strengthen institutions and trust. In this line of action we review our role as opinion leaders and our participation in the major topics that build the country.
